With active support and care, Dr. Crewdson will guide you through difficult times. Her main goal for therapy is to use active listening to challenge clients to become independent problem solvers and confident in their ability to manage life’s challenges.
About Us
Margaret Crewdson
Dr. Margaret Crewdson is a nationally certified school psychologist and a provisionally licensed psychologist in Georgia. She earned her Bachelors in Psychology at University of Miami (FL) and both her Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis and PhD in School Psychology from University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Dr. Crewdson completed her internship with Virginia Beach City Public Schools. Dr. Crewdson enjoys working with children and adolescents. She conducts psychological evaluations for developmental delays, academic difficulties, social concerns, behavioral difficulties and emotional difficulties. She also enjoys doing therapy for concerns related to PTSD, anxiety, depression, social skills, and ADHD. Dr. Crewdson enjoys cooking, spending time at the lake with family, and playing with her two rescue dogs – Ginny and Albert.

Services
Individual Therapy
For children ages 8 to 18 for concerns related to anxiety, depression, ADHD, and/or trauma. Dr. Crewdson’s techniques most closely align with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Psychological Evaluations
Dr. Crewdson evaluates children ages 2-18 for a variety of concerns, including but not limited to: Autism, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities, Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, and Mood Disorders.
Parent Consultation
Dr. Crewdson is available to meet with you regarding any concerns about your child’s progress, review school testing, IEP, or other paperwork. She will also speak with you regarding concerns you have about your child.
School Consultation
Dr. Crewdson is available to attend school meetings to review test results or advocate for your child. She will also speak with school staff to assist in coordinating supports and resources for your child at school when appropriate.
Classroom Observation
Dr. Crewdson is available to observe your child in his/her/their classroom. Observing your child in academic and social settings is often helpful in order to assess difficulties.

How do I know if my child needs therapy?
Therapy is not a one size fits all. This is why Dr. Crewdson tailors her treatment to the specific child after the initial intake session. Children may benefit from therapy for a variety of reasons including, but not limited to: difficulty getting along with other children, anxiety, depression, difficulty completing schoolwork/focusing, and adapting to life changes. Dr. Crewdson recommends that you call the office (770-352-9952) to speak with our intake coordinator about whether or not therapy is right for your child.
What kind of therapy does Dr. Crewdson offer?
Dr. Crewdson offers talk therapy, most closely aligned with CBT. CBT (or Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy) focuses on shifting the perspective of negative thoughts to a new positive and more productive outlook. This, in turn, helps children learn to become problem solvers and engage less in catastrophic thinking.
What is the process to get my child started with therapy?
Give Dr. Crewdson a call! We are always here to help answer any questions you have and schedule an initial intake appointment. Once you and your child meet with Dr. Crewdson, she will be able to recommend a personalized plan for your child’s therapy, including concerns that will be addressed and frequency of therapy appointments.

What are the fees for therapy and evaluations?

Do you accept insurance?
